Admittedly, this is a rather obscure collision but, still. If you would like to remove boinc and its dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu, sudo apt-get remove -auto-remove boinc Use Purging boinc. To completely remove (uninstall) BOINC from your Macintosh, run the Uninstall BOINCapplication which is included with the installer. The installer automatically takes care of removing the unwanted files. I know it's BOINC since the two mutually glitch when ESO is installed forcing a reinstall of the former, and a complete uninstall of the latter, because when I try to login, I get through the splash screens to the login page and the game just freezes while nothing else is affected unless I forget to turn off BOINC (which results in severe but unsurprising slowdown due to the nature of BOINC) Whereas BOINC will sometimes just run completely unresponsively with ESO installed with a repair via the BOINC installer the only way to fix it. Alright, I've had to uninstall ESO because I has a conflict with either BOINC or one of the projects I'm signed up with in BOINC, all of which I turn off while playing but still glitches out when ESO is installed.
